There are no limits on the number of ESXi hosts in vCenter Server Standard. It can manage an unlimited number of ESXi hosts​.

With the new subscription-based core licensing, vCenter Server is included in every edition. vSphere Essentials Plus has vCenter Server Essentials, while the other versions have vCenter Server Standard.

vSphere Standard is limited to 32 cores per physical CPU. The vSphere Standard requires that 16 cores be licensed for each server.
